Residential Training

Dog boarding and training, also known as residential training, is the fastest and most intensive training programme we offer. It takes the job of initial training for your dog off your hands.

It is suitable for those who have enough time to cater to the day to day needs of a pet dog but are too busy to undertake an intensive period of training with a young dog, rescue dog, or a dog with behavioural issues.

In order to achieve the best results, your dog will stay full-time with the Dog Stories team. During the day he or she will spend time at our daycare with Head Trainer Panos and our other dog trainers and carers. At night he/she will board with Panos or Daniel (Daycare Manager/Trainer)in their home.

The length of time your dog is with us varies between one week to four weeks, depending on your dog's current level of training and your goals. We will discuss this with you and determine what is best for you and your dog. Panos will develop a training plan that will work for both you and your dog to achieve your training objectives, and the training will be undertaken consistently throughout the weeks that your dog is with us.

You and your family are very welcome to visit your dog while he is with us for boarding and training, and we encourage this as it provides the opportunity for you to participate in your dog's training and practice before the package is complete.

Once the residential training is complete, you and your dog will have a one-to-one training session with Panos, where he will take you through the training plan and how to continue and reinforce the training once you and your dog return home together.
