We are a growing start-up dog services business offering the highest standards of dog daycare, with a five-star licence. We train and care for dogs in dog playgroups that are smaller than many other daycare services.

Dog Daycare Trainer


We are currently looking for experienced and motivated Dog Daycare Trainer to join our team at Dog Stories. We offer competitive rates of pay and a comprehensive training programme for all staff. 

Location: Dog Daycare Centre in Staines (plus collections and drop off in south-west London, west London, and Surrey)

Contract Type: Full-time (can consider part-time), permanent

Salary: Competitive

Start Date: ASAP


The Dog Daycare Trainer is primarily responsible for the supervision, management, training and care for dogs at our day and boarding school for dogs, primarily ensuring the safety of the playgroup. This includes collecting dogs in the morning on the school bus and returning students to their homes after school. Additionally, the counsellor is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the indoor and outdoor classroom areas as well as other areas of the facility as assigned.



Skills & Experience


  • Previous professional experience in caring for dogs, preferably in a dog daycare environment

  • Good interpersonal and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

  • Proven ability to follow instructions and develop new skills and knowledge

  • Previous work experience demonstrating dependability

  • Evidence of customer service skills

  • Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Flexible with a can-do attitude



Mandatory requirements


  • Full, clean, driving licence for at least five years

  • DBS check




  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in dog training/behaviour

  • Previous experience driving a van
